Market America is a scam or is it legal?
Market America received a lot of attention recently. Online forums are a buzz if market America is a scam. The quick and easy answer is no...It is not a scam. However, according to my research about this company, which I, some found troubling questions.
What is exactly market America?
Market America are you "a product brokerage and Internet marketing company that specializes in one-to-one-marketing." What is one-to-one-marketing? Just a fancy term for MLM or multi-level marketing. And what exactly is a product brokerage? A fancy word for a wholesaler. You are what you call a "unfranchise" to their members that allows you to recruit more members to the members and commissions paid on your purchases.
What do you sell?
Market America sold everything from shoes financial lending. You seem really their lines generic health, personal care, and anti-aging products press. However, you don't have to buy and there name brand products available.
What is the market America compensation plan?
Compensation plan is confusing... just do a good job describing it or hide deliberately made it confusing, your real winnings will be. So I have more research to find out what your compensation plan and what are your real subsidies. This is where it gets scary people.
So I went to the home market America (a partner site), and I couldn't find any detailed information on your payout structure. Hmmm...Me I question why? So I started a chat session with someone named Alex who call me telling their field office to answer my questions, kept (yeah right!... how I go that you just to end up on a fall hard sales pitch). After a lot of persistence, Alex finally told me that I could find a presentation on an affiliate website but some participants choose to disable the presentation. I wonder why you would do that? So I did several searches and finally found an affiliate site that had a presentation and wow too had my start to rotate. I had to show pays out several times to understand what you were talking about. Now why most partners select, display the presentation I know.
Must earn to qualify for money you first 200 BV (business volume) value of the product purchase.
What is BV, you questions? Yeah me to. So back to friendly but frustrated Alex chatting am Center and I constantly shared contact your box office to answer, what is. Not completely Alex rehearsed definition of what is a BV but can't some me or perhaps responding not, how much... concerns BV in dollars you funny green stuff know here below using us human beings on the planet Earth. So I went looking everywhere for the elusive BV back to the forums and search engines. I finally found it on some regional market America challenge website... it seems like you its members challenge to buy certain products and if you win the challenge get preferred seating to your Conference (, that you still have to pay). The BV exchange rate is variable and depends on the products sold. BV is about 60-90% of the dollar value of the product. Most products seem to have a BV value around or just under 80% of the dollar. To qualify you about $250 worth of products... must buy hmmm that's not bad I wonder, why is it so secret?
Next, you find two people to qualify.
You have to find two people (buy both 200 BV product worth) making to your right and left business line for money.
Earn money!
Make money based on the GVK (Group BV) and are limited to only two business lines... but wait an additional two business lines to add, by doing something they call "Re-entry". What is reentry issues? I have no idea and tired I honestly looking to find out how market America to translate terms and acronyms. Each generated once both legs of your business line $1500 get 5000 GVK you. If so BV represents approximately 80% and need 10,000 BV to earn $1500, which means your business will need to purchase or sell value approximately $12,500. And this means that you get approximately 12% commissions. Sorry for the algebra problem.
But wait it gets better...
There is also something called IMV. I know you're going to questions, so here is what defines market America IBV as "IBV (incentive business volume) is the unit (point)-value assigned to calculate an IBV product/service IBV commissions". Are confused yet... yeah me to. Also, now can even more money by signing up for a market America credit card and use it on all your MA buys! WooHoo!
How much can I do?
Market America presentation shows how easy it is to do a year $10,800 week or $561,600! OK... You want the truth right? The truth is only 2.07% of members make more than $80,000 from the earnings statement for the Canadian version of the presentation on the basis of 65.75% of the members make $3000 or less and 44.89% make $1000 or less per year. Tip: always displays the Canadian version of a business opportunity presentation, because in Canada network marketing companies must disclose the actual result of its members. So you want to spend your time, money and effort a program promote which it will, the an average gain of $1000 or less for almost half of its members?
In conclusion: is market America scam or legal?
Market is not a scam and is legal. However, your payout structure is very confusing and the average members success rate is not very good. You seem to carry a variety of products that can lure to most online shoppers. If you're going to market America join to offer the opportunity for the products. Any opportunity where you only $1500 discount of $12,500 Sales Commission, is not very good in my opinion. My advice is to the keep looking and only shopping because you want to not buy to make money.
